Dental Crowns in Camberley
Strong, natural-looking crowns to restore damaged, cracked, or root canal treated teeth.
A dental crown is a cap that fits over the entire visible portion of a tooth, restoring its shape, strength, and appearance. Crowns are needed when a tooth is too damaged for a filling - typically due to extensive decay, fracture, or after root canal treatment.
Dental Crowns - Key Benefits
- Restores heavily damaged or broken-down teeth to full function
- Protects teeth after root canal treatment from fracture
- Natural-looking porcelain or zirconia - indistinguishable from natural teeth
- Prevents further cracking or decay in a compromised tooth
- Long-lasting - typically 15 - 20 years or more
- Made to precise specifications by a specialist dental laboratory
When Is a Crown Needed?
Crowns are typically recommended when a tooth has been significantly weakened by decay or fracture; after root canal treatment; when an existing large filling has failed; or to restore a dental implant. Dr. Gadde will always discuss all options before recommending a crown.
Crown Materials
We use lithium disilicate (e.max) for front teeth - excellent translucency and aesthetics. Zirconia is recommended for molars and patients who grind for its superior strength. Porcelain-fused-to-metal (PFM) crowns are also available.
