How ClearCorrect Works
At your consultation, digital scans of your teeth are taken and uploaded to the ClearCorrect planning software. This produces a 3D simulation showing the planned tooth movement at each stage and the predicted final result. If you proceed, a series of custom aligners is manufactured - each moving your teeth a fraction of a millimetre closer to the final position.
Wearing Your Aligners
Aligners must be worn for 20 - 22 hours per day to maintain treatment progress. They are removed only for eating, drinking (anything other than water), and for brushing and flossing. Compliance is the single most important factor in treatment success - the more consistently you wear them, the faster and more predictable your result.
Retainers After Treatment
After completing ClearCorrect treatment, retainers are essential to maintain your result. Teeth have a natural tendency to move back towards their original position (relapse) without retention. Custom retainers are included in our treatment plans and should be worn as instructed.
